Hurdles Crew Ja

Established in the year 2002, Hurdles Crew Ja formerly known as the Hurdles and Track Equipment Crew was founded by Derrick Lawrence and John Messam. This crew boasts a membership of 83 young men and women from different backgrounds all across Jamaica who have a keen interest in the development of track and field.

Our volunteers which mainly comprises high school and college students dedicate their weekends and weekdays where applicable to provide support at track and field athletic meetings. We are known to most as the “young people crew” as we recruit new members yearly as our members tend to transition into different sections to officiate.

We are passionate about the development of track and field and we aim to always provide the most optimum services to the athletes who we continue to serve under our motto SHARPER YET.

The following is the reorganized management of the Hurdles Crew, from July 1, 2019.

The Directors of the Organization and the Management Committee together form the Executive Officers and Administrative arm of the Hurdles Crew.  The Management Committee has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Organization.
