The Hurdles Crew offers internal certification as well as coordinated certification through the JAAA.
Internal Cerification
The Management Team conducts assessment for internal certification and the certification is valid for 1 year. A physical certificate is only provided on request.
- Level 1 – Basic Officating Training
- Level 2 – Specialist Official Training (Track Equipment)
- Level 2 – Specialist Official Training (Hurdles & Steeples)
- Level 2 – Specialist Official Training (Electronic Start Equipment)
- Level 3 – Leadership Official Training (Team Managment)
External Certification
Only members who have completed 3 levels of internal certification are eligible for certifications to be awarded by the JAAA. These certifications are only for members within this section of officials. The duration of validity is determined by the assessing body.
- Level 1 – JAAA Certified Official
- Level 2 – JAAA Certified Hurdles & Track Equipment Official
