Hurdles Crew Ja has a team of world class young, vibrant officials who contribute their time and skillset towards the development of Track and Field. Often times these same officials are sought out and drafted to lead new sections and also to lead existing sections. These are affiliate officiating sections of Hurdles Crew Ja:

Measurement Judges (Scientific)
The Measurement Judges form a team of IT competent officials who stem mainly from Hurdles Crew Ja. This team was formulated in May 2018 under the steward of the Director of Treasury and Finance of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association and Chief Starter Mr. Ludlow Watts. The mandate of this section is to calculate the distance of throws and jumps for athletes competing in both the vertical and horizontal jumps using technology. This team is one of the subsections of Hurdles Crew Ja which has been tasked with the implementation of technology in the Jamaican Track and Field Hemisphere and continues to shine on under the motto: Hurdles Crew! Sharper Yet!
This section began with three members from Hurdles Crew Ja namely Devonio James, Alexi Lewis and Locksidon Barrett and since its inception has grown to a membership of 18 personnel. Hurdles Crew Ja continues to make strides and will continue to diversify the Track and Field landscape in Jamaica
Start Information System Team
The Start Information System Team is a team of dedicated individuals with the technical skills and competencies required to operate the ReacTime popularly known as the False Start Equipment. These individuals stem from different officiating backgrounds however one individual was drafted from Hurdles Crew Ja to make up what is an elite team of starting officials. Shane Edwards the Managing Director of Hurdles Crew Ja was asked to assist in the development of track and field in 2014 by way of taking part in a technical training session which would ultimately lead to him becoming one of the most crucial officials in Jamaica’s Track and Field’s programme as he has earned himself some skills which far outweighs that of most officials. He was trained to record the reaction times of athletes leaving the starting blocks at the beginning of a sprint race. This in itself is just another way in which Hurdles Crew Ja has been drafted to aid in bringing technology into the Jamaican Track and Field landscape.
